The project gave away 100 five-gallon trees at the City’s water park. The water park was chosen because it is adjacent to an area of the City that was severely impacted by the December 11, 2021 tornado. This area has been slow to repair, rebuild, and redevelop. This area is targeted for a giveaway because the homeowners have finally begun finishing their repairs and reconstruction. Dogwoods, flower cherries, magnolia, and red buds were given to area residents, along with a bag of mulch. The project was sponsored by State Farm through the Arbor Day Foundation.
